Lester Wayne Hickman, age 66 of Surgoinsville, passed away at Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital in Rogersville, on Thursday, March 22, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Will Hickman and his mother, Carrie Louise Christian Hickman, his brothers Ralph “Habe”, Guy, Alvin, and Andrew Hickman, and his sister, Shirley Moffett.

Wayne was known in the area for his fish flies, turkey calls and his love of hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary L. Hickman, and his sons, Rick (Brandy), Scott (Stacy), and Bob (Millie) Hickman. His brothers Dewey (Rita) Hickman, and Arry (Opal) Hickman, his sisters, Margie Hutchins, and Inez (Bill) LaFollette. Grandchildren, Kimberly (Aaron) Walker, Austin Richards, Kayla, Beth, Jessie, and Caden Hickman. Great grandchild, Olivia Lily- Ann Walker, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, March 24, 2012, 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Colboch Price Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 8:00 PM, with Rev. Fred Gilreath, Rev. Jerry Scalf, Rev. Andy Sensabaugh, and Rev. Ray Mullins officiating. Interment will be Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM, at Hawkins Memorial Gardens.
