Robert Mason Ledford

U.S. Veteran

Robert ”Bob” Ledford age 65, of Rogersville passed away Friday, February 8, 2013, after a longer than average battle with cancer at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. Bob enjoyed hunting , the out- doors and riding Harleys. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Vesper Lodge #0554 F. & A.M. , a Shriner, a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Army as an MP and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Canipe and step-father, Albert Canipe, and his grandparents, Fred and Mamie Greene.

Bob leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Nancy Ledford, and son, Todd (Kellie) Ledford of Maryville TN, step son: Rusty (Zandy) Rimer of Rogersville, step daughter: Tisa Goulding of Rogersville. Grandchildren, Victoria Sterling, Kristen (B.J.) Lane, Catie Coats, and Keaton Rimer,; great grandchildren, Jaxon and Liam Lane. Father, Mason Ledford of Bakersville, North Carolina; brothers, Douglas (Roxanne) Ledford and Dwayne Ledford and sisters, Susan Evans and Sherry (Roger) Pendley all of North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, February 11, 2013, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Colboch Price Funeral Home, with Masonic Services at 7:00 and funeral services to immediately follow with Rev. Andy Willis officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM in McKinney Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Hawkins County Color Guard and the Tennessee National Guard.
