Louise J. Price age 87 of Kingsport, passed away, Friday, February 1, 2013 at her residence.
She and her husband, AG, moved to Kingsport from Rogersville in 1947. She was a member of Choptack Baptist Church and attended Stone Drive UMC and Crossroads UMC until her health prevented. While attending Stone Drive , she kept all the flowers outside the church looking pretty.
She and her husband owned and operated Corner Market. She also worked at Holston Drug Store, Oakwood Bakery and retired from Eastman Kodak. She attended ceramic and baskets classes at the Kingsport Senior Center and made many beautiful baskets. She loved to do crafts and make quilts. Louise loved to garden and share the bounty with family and friends. She and her husband also kept bees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Luther E. and Laura Elkins Jones, husband: Andrew G. (AG) Price, brothers: Walter and Rod Jones, sister: Dorothy Cope and granddaughter: Cortney King.
Louise leaves her sons: George E. and wife, Angela Price of Kingpsort; John R. and wife Judy Price of Roswell, GA; and Henry C. Price of Kingsport. Grandchildren: Lisa Huseman, Brandy King, Josh and Matthew Price. 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Sister: Marion and husband, JL Blackwood of Lee, IL, and many special nieces, nephews, and some very special friends whom she thought of as family.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville, with funeral services to follow at 5:00 PM with Rev. Lawrence Myrick officiaitng.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, February 4, 2013 in Choptack Baptist Church Cemetery, Rogersville.
