Wanda Janette Hicks age 72 of Rogersville, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday January 29, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. She was a loving wife, great mother, and grandmother. She was a kind, compassionate, hard- working lady, who loved to laugh, who loved to cook, that never gave up, she was a strong person, and a member of East Rogersville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur G. Trent and Stella Horton Trent, her son, Mike Hicks, and her brother Bill Trent. Janette leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Rev. Dee Hicks, her daughters, Darlene McPeek (Tony) of Surgoinsville, Sherry Franklin (Terry) of Knoxville, her grandchildren, Tiffany Willis (Chris), Ryan McPeek, and Kalyn McPeek, and Emma Grace Franklin, and her great grandson, Hayden Willis, as well as her special and devoted sister-in-law, Peggy Trent. Visitation with the family will be, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Colboch Price Funeral Home, 12 noon to 2:00 PM, with funeral services to follow, with the Rev. Tecky Hicks and the Rev.
