John N. Phillips, age 76 of Rogersville, formally of Church Hill, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Hawkins Co. Memorial Hospital in Rogersville.

John was a graduate of Church Hill High School, a devoted lifetime fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and a Ford Nascar fan. He was a US Navy Veteran, lifetime member of VFW Joseph Rogers Post 9543, and the Hawkins County Color Guard. A member of Overton Lodge #5 F.&A.M., a 32nd degree Scottish Rite and a member of the Knights Templar. He retired from Eastman Kodak after 32 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John R. and Kate Phillips, nieces: Angela Phillips and Mary Simpson.

John leaves his brother: James, wife, Sandra Phillips of Spartanburg, SC and sister: Kay, husband Roy Cooper of Church Hill, TN. Nieces: Lisa Cooper, Tracey Kerney, and Karen Byrd. Several great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the chapel of Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Hawkins County Color Guard and the Tennessee National Guard.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 until 2:30 prior to services at the funeral home.
